The 30% figure applies to rent in qualifying arrangements. Rent and care are paid separately. Medicaid eligibility, care coverage and other financial responsibilities can vary.

Our goal is not to recreate a nursing facility inside a house. It is to help each person live in a comfortable home, build real relationships and keep as much control over everyday life as possible.

Rothlisberger Quality Home Care is a family business in La Vista. We started it around a housing need we kept seeing in the Omaha area: adults who need steady care and a stable place to live at the same time, and who do not fit either of the usual choices.
So we set up ordinary homes with no more than three residents and two caregivers, and we help each person find the arrangement that fits. If a caregiver match or a home is not working, we help find another.

We hold Medicaid waiver enrollment under Nebraska’s Aged and Disabled program, we work with DHHS caseworkers every week, and our our housing program pairs a caregiver with a steady place to live for adults who need both.

Nebraska’s Medicaid Aged and Disabled Waiver can pay for in-home care services for people who qualify. Eligibility is decided by the state, not by us, and we can point your family to where the application starts. As an enrolled provider we deliver waiver-covered care once a waiver plan is in place, and veteran families can ask us about the benefits that help pay for care too.
